Introducing VASCA Magazine: Your Source for Vascular Anomaly Knowledge and Empowerment
In 2020, an inspiring idea took root: the creation of the first patient organization-based European magazine dedicated to spreading awareness of vascular anomalies. This groundbreaking initiative aimed to educate non-specialized doctors, healthcare providers, and those affected by vascular anomalies, empowering patients along the way.
The inaugural 72-page digital edition launched in April 2021, disseminated through VASCERN and patient organization websites and social media channels. It covered a range of topics including state-of-the-art scientific articles, personal testimonials, and insights into the work of VASCERN and VASCA.
Authored by clinicians, patient organization members, and VASCERN’s coordination team, the magazine quickly gained recognition for its value among both medical professionals and patients. It was showcased at prestigious events like EURORDIS’s ePAG Annual Meeting and the European Conference on Rare Diseases and Orphan Products.
Now, building on its success, we proudly present the second edition of VASCA Magazine. Packed with articles on genetics, research, therapies, and patient stories from across Europe, this edition also welcomes two new patient organizations to the VASCA team.
We invite you to delve into this new issue, curated by our dedicated editorial team, Maria Barea, Petra Borgards, and Caroline van den Bosch. Click on the link below to access valuable information for doctors, patients, and insights into the vital work of VASCERN.
